A simple look at the resurrection of Jesus Christ. What the Bible teaches, how His disciples responded, and why His resurrection sets Him apart.

Every year, Resurrection Sunday invites us to ask a simple but life-changing question: did Jesus Christ really rise from the dead? For many young adults today, this isn’t just a religious idea—it’s a question about truth, history, and hope.

If the resurrection is real, everything changes.

Even His own disciples struggled to believe at first. Thomas openly doubted until he saw the risen Christ for himself John 20:24–29 . Yet the Scriptures are clear—Jesus did rise from the dead, just as He said He would. And that moment in history sets Him apart from every other figure, before or after Him.

There have been many teachings, leaders, and philosophies that point toward truth, but none compare to the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Others may resemble it, echo parts of it, or even attempt to imitate it, but they fall short of the full reality. The resurrection isn’t a symbol or a story meant to inspire—it is the defining proof that Jesus is who He claimed to be.

John 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

John 10:30 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. 30 ~ I and my Father are one. KJV

Romans 1:4 ... And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: KJV

At some point, we have to move beyond imitation and ask ourselves what is actually true. If Jesus truly rose from the dead, then His words matter, His promises stand, and our response to Him is not optional—it is essential.

Resurrection Sunday is more than a tradition.

It is an invitation to examine the truth, to consider the evidence, and to personally respond to the risen Christ.
